Four sea turtles were rescued by the naval personnel
 
 

Naval personnel attached to SLNS Thammanna located in Talaimannar in the North Central Naval Command, rescued the lives of 4 sea turtles that were entangled in a fishing net in the beach of Talaimannar on 18^th June 2016. The turtles were found during a beach cleaning programme conducted by the ship’s company of SLNS Thammanna and were released to the sea following their rescue.
