Rear Admiral Udaya Bandara bids farewell to 34-year-long illustrious naval career
 

The Director General Training, Rear Admiral Udaya Bandara today (28) bade farewell to his illustrious naval career which spanned over 34 years. According to the naval traditions he was accorded with a guard of honour and fellow naval officers accompanied him to the portals of Naval Headquarters in a customary vehicle fleet.

Rear Admiral Bandara joined Sri Lanka Navy in the year 1982 as an Officer Cadet and had served in many ships and establishments during his highly decorated naval career. Further he had imparted his wealth of knowledge gained through various foreign courses and engagements, for the betterment of the Navy. The service he had rendered to the Sri Lanka Navy and motherland will be cherished and remembered forever.
