“Sri Lanka Navy Journal” and “Sayurusara” magazine re-launched
 

Two publications of the Sri Lanka Navy which lied dormant for a long period of time, were re-launched at the Naval Headquarters today (30). Accordingly the first copy of the second edition of “Sri Lanka Navy Journal” which is published by the Naval Research Wing, was offered to Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne by its Chief Editor, Commodore Priyantha Perera. In a similar vein the “Sayurusara” magazine, that comprises the articles written by the naval personnel, was also offered to Commander of the Navy by the Patron of the magazine, Captain Akram Alavi along with Lieutenant Commander Ruwan Premaweera being the Chief Editor of “Sayurusara”. Naval Assistant, Senior Staff Officer Naval Research Wing and Patron of “Sayurusara”, Commander Rohan Joseph was also present on the occasion.

“Sri Lanka Navy Journal” was launched with the intention of widening the horizons of naval personnel in the field of research and to improve their propensity in such affairs. Meanwhile the magazine “Sayurusara” which provided a platform for the naval personnel to hone their knowledge and writing skills, had been dormant for nearly two years and re-launched at the directives of Commander of the Navy.
