Two Japanese naval ships, "JMSDF Inazuma" and "JMSDF Suzutsuki" arrived in Sri Lanka on a goodwill visit yesterday (24). Commander Escort Division Four, Captain Atsuhi Minami and Commanding Officers of the visiting ships, Commander Souichiro Tashiro and Commander Kentaro Nakayama called on Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne at the Naval Headquarters today (25).
They held cordial discussions on matters of mutual interest and bilateral importance. Mementos were also exchanged as a gesture of goodwill. Meanwhile, the Defence Attaché of the Embassy of Japan in Sri Lanka, Captain Mototsugu Shigekawa also joined this occasion. The ships are due to leave Port of Colombo today (25).
