Navy arrests 2 fishermen while transferring sea cucumbers illegally
 

Naval personnel attached to SLNS Vijaya located in Kalpitiya in Northwestern Naval Command arrested two local fishermen who were illegally transferring sea cucumbers in the coastal area of Erambugodella yesterday (23). During the arrest 770 kg of dry sea cucumbers were taken into custody.

The arrested persons and the haul of sea cucumbers were produced to the Puttalam Assistant Directorate of Fisheries for onward action.
