As per the initiative of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, the second phase of the footwear distribution to the children in grade 1 to 5 of Maha Kashyapa Vidyalaya took place at the school premises yesterday (19).
During the Commander of the Navy’s visit to the opening ceremony of Oyamaduwa Senior Sailors’ Holiday Bungalow in North Central Naval Command on 15th July 2016, the helicopter he flew on was landed at the playground of Maha Kashyapa Vdyalaya and the school children were fortunate to pose for a photograph with Vice Admiral Wijegunaratne. Meanwhile this magnanimous effort of the officers and sailors who contributed with their money and various other ways, was highly commended by Commander of the Navy.
