Indian Coast Guard Ship "Samudra Paheredar" arrives at the Port of Colombo
 

The Indian Coast Guard Ship "Samudra Paheredar" arrived at the Port of Colombo today (10) on a goodwill visit. The ship was ceremonially welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy in accordance with naval traditions on her arrival.

The ship’s Commanding Officer, Captain DR Sharma paid a courtesy call on Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Jayantha De Silva at the Western Naval Command Headquarters. They held cordial discussions on matters of mutual importance. Deputy Area Commander of Western Naval Command, Commodore Senarath Wijesuriya was also present on the occasion. Mementos were also exchanged to mark this event. The Indian Coast Guard Ship which is on a two-day official visit to Sri Lanka, is scheduled to participate in a sequence of programmes and sports events organized by the Sri Lanka Navy and Sri Lanka Coast Guard.
