Commander of the Navy visits the Indian Coast Guard Ship "Samudra Paheredar"
 

Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne made a visit to the Indian Coast Guard Ship "Samudra Paheredar" today (11). Having accorded with a Guard of Honour to Commander of the Navy, the Commanding Officer of the ship, Captain DR Sharma warmly received him onboard.

During the inspection visit made by Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, onboard "Samudra Paheredar", the senior officers of the vessel made him aware with vital information pertinent to the role and function of the ship. Subsequently they held cordial discussions on matters of bilateral importance as well. The occasion was also attended by Director General Operations, Rear Admiral Daramendra Wettewa, Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Jayantha de Silva, Director Naval Operations, Commodore Kalana Jinadasa, and senior officers from the Naval Headquarters and Sri Lanka Coast Guard. Mementos were also exchanged to mark this event.
