Northern Naval Command conducts a field medical clinic on Mandativu Island
 

As part of the Sri Lanka Navy’s community development and social responsibility project, the Northern Naval Command conducted a field health clinic at the St. Peter's Church on Mandativu Island yesterday (16), under the guidance of Commander Northern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Piyal De Silva.

During the clinic, the patients were given treatment for communicable, non-communicable and respiratory diseases as well as child and women health care and health issues of elderly persons. Medicine and nutritional supplements for the patients who attended the clinic, were provided free of charge by the State Pharmaceutical Corporation (SPC), Hemas Pharmaceutical and Interpharma Ltd. A large number of civilians from newly resettled areas on Mandathive Island in Jaffna District were enormously benefited as a result of this noble gesture.

Chief Priest of St. Peter's Church, Rev. Francis David who was present on the occasion highly appreciated the magnanimous effort of the naval personnel and extended his heartfelt gratitude to the officers, sailors of Northern Naval Command and Sri Lanka Navy in general.
