Rear Admiral Chandana Kulasekara bids farewell to his illustrious naval career 

Rear Admiral Chandana Kulasekara who served as the Director General Logistics at the Naval Headquarters, today (16) bade farewell to his illustrious naval career which spanned over 30 years. Upon calling on Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, the outgoing Rear Admiral was accorded with a Guard of Honour and the fellow naval officers accompanied him to the portals of the Naval Headquarters in a customary vehicle fleet. The senior and junior sailors also gathered on either side of the road to pay their tribute to the retiring Rear Admiral.

Rear Admiral Chandana Kulasekara joined Sri Lanka Navy in 1986 as a Direct Entry officer and completed his basic training at the Naval and Maritime Academy in Trincomalee. During his distinguished naval career, he had served in many establishments generously offering his wealth of knowledge gained through various local and foreign courses, for the betterment of the Navy. The service he rendered to the Sri Lanka Navy and motherland, will be cherished and remembered forever in the naval history.
