A person apprehended with 2 kg of Kerala Cannabis
 

On receipt of intelligence information, a group of naval personnel attached to SLNS Vijayaba located in Nilaweli in the Eastern Naval Command apprehended a person with 2.25 kg of Kerala Cannabis kept in his possession in the general area of Thorankadu today (22). The apprehended person and cannabis were handed over to the Trincomalee Police for onward legal action.
