Commander of the Navy calls on several senior officers in Pakistan Navy
 

The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunartne who is currently in Pakistan attending the Naval Exercise AMAN-2017, called on several senior officers in the Pakistan Navy today (13). The senior Pakistani Naval officers he met were; the Commander Karachi, Rear Admiral Farrokh Ahmad, Commander Pakistan Fleet Vice Admiral Syed Arifullah Hussaini and Chief Executive Officer, Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works (Limited), Rear Admiral Syed Hasan Nasir Shah.

The relationship between Pakistan and Sri Lanka is broad-based and multifaceted, covering diverse fields like diplomatic, political, commercial, defence, people to people contacts and cultural exchanges. Recalling the longstanding friendship between the two friendly nations, top brass Naval Chiefs exchanged views on a number of matters of mutual interests and bilateral importance.

Upon the friendly discussions that ensued, they exchanged mementoes as tokens of goodwill and appreciation. The Defence Attaché of the Pakistan High Commission in Sri Lanka was also present on these occasions.
