Naval Leave Centre and Reception Hall declared open in Tangalle
 

The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne declared open a Naval Leave Centre and Reception Hall in Tangalle yesterday (26). The inception of this Naval Leave Centre and Reception Hall was materialized, having completed refurbishment work to the old Tangalle Courts Complex.

The naval Civil Engineers with their expertise knowledge and technology completed the repair work at a cost of Rs. 4. 5 million. The financial contribution for the project was made by Sri Lanka Navy.

Initially, the refurbishment of the old building was commenced on 16th May 2014. The state of the art Naval Leave Centre and Reception Hall comprises of six fully fledged comfortable rooms. The Naval Leave Centre and Reception Hall equipped with all modern facilities will be a perfect wedding venue for Officers and Sailors at a concessionary rate.

The Commander Southern Naval Area, Real Admiral Nishantha Ulugethenna, Deputy Area Commander of Southern Naval Command Dhammika Dias and a large number of officers and sailors of the Southern Naval Command were present at this event. Mementoes were also exchanged to mark the significance of this occasion.
