SLNS Sagara and SLNS Nandimithra leave for Singapore
 

Sri Lanka Navy’s Offshore Patrol Vessels, SLNS Sagara and SLNS Nandimithra left for Singapore from the Port of Colombo today (5) to take part in the International Maritime Defence Exhibition scheduled to be held in Singapore. Captain Anura Danapala of SLNS Sagara and Captain Nishantha Peiris of SLNS Nandimithra are in command of the ships as their Commanding Officers.

The two ships are due to stay in Singapore from 12th to 18th May and the International Maritime Defence Exhibition will be participated by 290 naval personnel from the Sri Lanka Navy including 34 officers.

During the visit, the Sri Lanka naval personnel are expected to attend several events which include; a warship display, International Maritime Security Conference, International Naval Engineering Conference and Naval Networking Programme.

The two hips are expected to leave Singapore on 18th May on completion of the tour events.
