Navy arrests 04 persons engaged in harvesting Sea Cucumbers without licence
 

Naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Area arrested 04 persons while harvesting sea cucumbers, without authorized licence, in the Inner Harbour area off Trincomalee today (05).

Along with the suspects 57 sea cucumbers, 3 oars, 2 diving masks, 2 pairs of diving fins, 2 snorkels, an anchor and a traditional boat (Theppan) were taken into naval custody. The arrested persons and the items were handed over to the Assistant Director Fisheries, Trincomalee for onward action.
