SLNS ‘Sagara’ and ‘Nandimithra’ take part in International Maritime Defence Exhibition
 

Sri Lanka Navy’s Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPVs), SLNS ‘Sagara’ and 'Nandimithra’ took part in the International Maritime Defence Exhibition held in Singapore yesterday (17). The exhibition was organized with a view to displaying onboard security systems, state of the art weaponry, radar systems and the military might of the ships belonging to various countries that represented this exhibition.

Further, a colourful reception was held onboard SLNS Sagara in the evening, displaying rich traditions of the Sri Lankan culture. The High Commissioner for Sri Lanka in Singapore H.E. Nimal Weeraratne, as the Chief Guest, attended the occasion which featured a number of dazzling cultural events. Foreign ambassadors, dignitaries, Navy Chiefs from participating countries, defence officials and a host of invited guests were also present on this occasion.
