Australian Government extends assistance in flood relief operations
 

Australian government has provided a consignment of donations today (31) to step up flood relief operations in affected areas in the Southern and Western provinces of the island. Accordingly, a relief team along with a consignment of five Rubber Floating Dinghies and five Outboard motors were dispatched via air transport to be island.

Senior naval officers were attend to receive them at the Bandaranaiyake International Airport on the occasion. These boat are to be dispatched to assist flood victims and evacuate the public stranded in the Southern and the Western Provinces due to floods. Yet another consignment of five Rubber Floating Dinghies and five Outboard Motors will be sent tomorrow (1) to assist for the flood relief teams.
