Chief of Naval Staff – Pakistan Navy meets with Commander of the Navy
 

The Chief of Naval Staff of the Pakistan Navy, Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah who is on a three day official visit to Sri Lanka, met with the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne at the Naval Headquarters today (12th June). The visiting Pakistan Navy Chief was accorded with a Guard of Honour in accordance with naval traditions upon his arrival.

The Chief of Naval Staff of the Pakistan Navy was accompanied by the Principal Secretary to the Chief of the Naval Staff, Commodore Javaid Iqbal and Defence Attaché to the Pakistan High Commission in Sri Lanka Colonel Irshad Khan.

During the cordial discussions, they shared thoughts of long-standing relations of both countries and exchanged views on matters of bilateral interest and mutual importance as well. Moreover, the two naval top brass recalled the excellent working relationship that both organizations have been maintaining and underlined the importance of further promoting such goodwill and broad understanding in future endeavours. The cordial courtesy meeting culminated with exchange of mementos symbolizing long-lasting goodwill and cooperation.

Chief of Staff, Rear Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe, Deputy Chief of Staff, Rear Admiral Neil Rosayro, Director Generals and a host of senior officers were also present on this occasion.
