Yet another Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant devised by the Navy Research and Development Unit declared open for community use at Meegahayadura, Sooriyawewa today (July, 09). Following a visionary concept of the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, the Navy has been installing RO plants in areas where high prevalence of Kidney Disease is recorded.

Three (3) Indian fishermen and a bottom trawler engaged in illegal fishing practices, were arrested by a Fast Attack Craft belonging to the Northern Naval Command yesterday (July, 08).
