Navy rescues 2 more jumbos swept out to sea
A group of naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command managed to rescue 2 elephants that were swept out to the sea, in between Round Island and Foul Point, Trincomalee this morning (July, 23).

JMSDF ships leave Colombo harbour on completion of successful tour
The Japanese Maritime Self Defence Force (JMSDF) ships; Izumo and Sazanami which arrived in Sri Lanka on goodwill visit on 20th July, set sail for the return journey from the Colombo harbour today (July 23), on successful completion of their tour. The Sri Lanka Navy bade customary farewell to the departing ship in accordance with naval traditions, on their departure.

Navy arrests 12 local fishermen engaged in illegal fishing
Naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command arrested 12 local fishermen who engaged in illegal fishing practices using illegal fishing nets, in the sea areas of Kokilai and Nayaru yesterday (July 22).
