Sri Lanka Navy Public Speaking Competition 2017
 

The Public Speaking Competition 2017 of the Sri Lanka Navy was held at the Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda Auditorium, SLNS Parakrama today (16 August 2017). A large number of naval officers participated in the competition representing all naval commands.

The initiative is aimed at improving the public speaking skill of the naval officers to make them more confident in circumstances where they get easily disconcerted in addressing large gatherings.

The under mentioned officers secured the 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rdplaces respectively in the senior and junior categories for their outstanding performances exhibited in the competition. Accordingly, the winners were rewarded with lucrative cash prizes worth Rs. 100,000, 75,000 and 50,000 respectively by Director General Training, Rear Admiral Dimuthu Gunawardena.
