Navy recovers the body of a foreigner dragged underwater by a crocodile
 

The Navy was able to recover the body of a foreigner who had been snatched by a crocodile today(14 September). Acting swiftly in response to a request made by Pottuvil Police, the Navy dispatched a team of Rapid Response Rescue and Relief Unit (4RU) personnel attached to the South Eastern Naval Command to the location.

The deceased identified as Paul McClean, a British national aged 24, had gone into the water in the Hedaoya at the Elephant Rock in Panama, Arugambay, when he was dragged underwater by a crocodile. The Navy was able to retrieve his body this morning (15 September). The recovered body was handed over to Panama Police. Further investigations are being conducted by the police.
