More foreign delegates from 5 countries meet with Commander of the Navy
 

More foreign delegates from 5 countries and representatives of international organizations participating in the Galle Dialogue 2017 met with the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Travis Sinniah and held bilateral discussions in the second day evening (10 October 2017) of the conference held at the Galle Face Hotel in Colombo.

Accordingly, delegates from Netherlands, New Zealand, Russia, China, and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime held cordial discussion of mutual interest with Vice Admiral Sinniah. Deputy Commander of the Royal Netherlands Navy, Major General FV Van Sprang, Deputy Chief of the New Zealand Navy, Commodore Mathew C Williams, Deputy Chief of the Russian Navy, Rear Admiral A Shtukaturov, Deputy Commander of the East Sea Fleet of the Chinese PLA Navy, Rear Admiral Cui Yuzhong, Navy Operations Director of the Kuwait, Brigadier Walid Al-Obaidi and Head of the Global Maritime Crime Programme, Mr. Alan Cole also held talks on the sidelines of the dialogue.

The visiting foreign delegates expressed their appreciation to the Commander of the Navy for organizing an international maritime conference of this magnitude to engage in fruitful discussions while strengthening the goodwill among friendly navies. Mementoes were also exchanged on the occasion as tokens of appreciation.
