57th intake midshipmen hold art and photographic exhibition

The midshipmen of the 57th intake held an art and photographic exhibition at the Officer Training Wing of the Naval and Maritime Academy (NMA) in Trincomalee on 07th October. The Commandant NMA, Commodore KG Paul, gracing the occasion as the chief guest, praised the effort as a splendid display of inborn talents. The feat also won the admiration of many including the Training Captain, the Officer Training Officer, senior naval officers and instructors who were present to witness the well-organized event.

The exhibition, earmarked as a pilot programme which will motivate other Officer Under Trainees (OUTs) to undertake similar commitments from a young age in their naval career, consisted of eye catching photographs under various themes, a collection of professional colour paintings, attractive pencil drawings, and innovative cartoons related to cadet training at the NMA.
