Commanding Officers of visiting Indian naval and coast guard ships pay courtesy call on Commander of the Navyිි
 

The Commanding Officers of the Indian naval ships Tir and Sujatha and the Indian Coast Guard ship Sarathi, which arrived today (02 November 2017) on a goodwill visit, paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe at the Navy Headquarters. The Defence Advisor attached to the Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka, Captain Ashok Rao was also present on the occasion.

Captain DJ Revar commanding INS Tir, Commandant Pankaj Agrawal commanding ICGS Sarathi and Commander KB Singh commanding INS Sujatha took the opportunity to convey their best wishes to Vice Admiral Ranasinghe on his new appointment as the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy. Cordial discussions, which ensued, focused on the Indian ships’ official visit and several issues of bilateral importance. Mementos were also exchanged to mark the occasion. The visiting Commanding Officers also paid floral tribute at the Indian Peace Keeping Force memorial in Battaramulla.
