Thirty three (33) Naval Artificer Apprentices of 14th Artificer Intake pass out in Welisara
 

After successful completion of their basic training, 33 Naval Artificer Apprentices belonging to the 14^th Artificer Intake of the Sri Lanka Navy passed out at the parade ground of the Naval Institute of Technology at SLNS Thakshila, Welisara yesterday (08^th November). Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Niraja Attygalle graced this occasion as the Chief Guest and took the salute.

In recognition of excellent skills and performances displayed during the basic training period, the following sailors were awarded with certificates and awards.

Best Sportsman                     -           Artificer GS Abeysinghe

Best Marksman                      -           Artificer DGS Kanishka

Best Artificer Apprentice       -            Artificer HBMSamanpitiya

The vivid cultural display presented by the Navy cultural troupe, on completion of the passing out ceremony, spell bounded the crowd who witnessed this event. Venerable Maha Sangha, other religious dignitaries, senior officers, sailors, parents and near and dear ones of the passed out Artificer Apprentices were present on the occasion.
