SLNS Sayurala leaves for Thailand to attend ASEAN International Fleet Review 2017
 

Sri Lanka Navy Ship (SLNS) Sayurala, the largest Advanced Offshore Patrol Vessel of the Navy left for Thailand from the Trincomalee harbour today (09th November) to attend the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) International Fleet Review 2017.

This also marked the first foreign sea voyage of SLNS Sayurala which recently joined the fleet of the Sri Lanka Navy. The ship’s crew comprised of 127 members including 18 officers.

This International Fleet Review is scheduled to be held in Pattaya, Thailand from 18th to 21st November, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. Twenty six (26) naval ships representing 19 Southeast Asian Nations are expected to take part in the Fleet Review and related naval exercises.
