SL – Chinese Navy teams compete in friendly matches
 

The teams of Sri Lanka Navy and PLAN ship Qi Ji Guang that arrived in Sri Lanka on a goodwill visit yesterday (10^th November) competed in several friendly sporting events in the sports ground of SLNS Gemunu in Welisara today.

Players from both teams exhibited their sporting talents with a lot of enthusiasm in the games of soccer and basketball, organized by the Sri Lanka Navy. Further, the Chinese naval personnel imparted the basics of martial arts to the officer cadets of the Sri Lanka Navy, on completion of friendly encounters. Players from both navies took part in the games characterizing true spirit of sportsmanship.
