Northern Naval Command organizes field medical clinic on Nainativu Island
 

As part of the Sri Lanka Navy’s Cooperate Social Responsibility Projects, the medical personnel of the Northern Naval Command conducted a field medical clinic at the Nagadeepa Raja Maha Viharaya, on Nainativu Island yesterday (18 November).

The event that was held under the guidance of the Commander Northern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Jayantha de Silva, turned out to be a very successful effort in which a large number of patients (around 350) including newly resettled civilians living on Nainativu Island in Jaffna District benefited.

Screening of chronic non communicable diseases, child health problems, oral/dental disease, old age health problem, antenatal care, acute/chronic health diseases and women health care treatments were administered during the clinic. Further, the chief Incumbent of Nagadeepa Rajamaha Viharaya and Chief Sanga Nayake of Nothern Province Praveenacharya Damma Kiththi Sri Ven. Navadagala Paduma Kiththi Tissa Thero also extended fullest cooperation for the successful conduct of this noble cause. Meanwhile, State Pharmaceutical Cooperation and Thriposha Lanka Ltd. sponsored for the medicines and nutritional supplements.
