Ten SLN officers graduated from University of Kelaniya
 

Ten naval officers who followed degree programmes at the Naval and Maritime Academy were graduated at the 95th General Convocation of the University of Kelaniya. The convocation ceremony was held on 20th November 2017 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall.

The convocation was presided over by Thripitaka Vagishvaracharya, Mahopadhyaya, Pandith, the most Venerable Welamitiyawe Dharmakirthi Sri Kusala Dhamma Thero, – the Chief Prelate of the Colombo and Chilaw regions and the Chancellor of University of Kelaniya. Prof. D.M. Semasinghe, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, Prof. Lakshman Senevirathne, the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Deans of the Faculties including the Commandant Naval and Maritime Academy, Commodore Kassapa Paul and a large number of distinguished guests were among the participants of this special ceremony in which about 450 graduates were awarded certificates.

The undermentioned officers of the Sri Lanka Navy were conferred certificates for successful completion of degree programmes in Naval and Maritime Studies and Naval Logistics Management.
