A workshop organized for the first time by Sri Lanka Navy Media, to hone compering skills of naval personnel, came to a successful end on 17th March. The two-day workshop conducted by renowned emcees of Sri Lanka was held at the Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake Auditorium of SLNS Parakrama on 16 and 17 March.

The workshop was attended by a large number of naval personnel including officers who took much interest in compering. The sessions of the first day was conducted by Mr. Anuradha Dewapriya, Course Director (News Reading and Presentation) Rupawahini Training Institute. Meanwhile, the second day sessions were conducted by two English News Presenters and renowned emcees, Ms. Sharon Mascarenhas and Mr. Faizal Bongso.

The workshop paved the way to identify a number of prospective comperes in the Navy, who exhibited promising signs in both English and Sinhalese languages. The earmarked personnel are scheduled to conduct various forthcoming events of the Navy based on their skills and potentialities. The guest lecturers and attendees highly appreciated Sri Lanka Navy Media for organizing this timely event. SLN Media will continue to organize similar workshops in time to come for the benefit of naval personnel who exhibit outstanding skills, on the sidelines of their traditional duties.
