Northern Naval Command conducts field medical clinic in Nainativu
 

As a part of the Sri Lanka Navy’s Cooperate Social Responsibility Project, the medical personnel of the Northern Naval Command conducted a field medical clinic at the Nagadeepa Raja Maha Viharaya, on Nainativu Island yesterday (03 April 2018).

The event was held under the guidance of the Commander Northern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Merril Wickramasinghe and it turned out to be a very successful effort, since a large number of patients among Tamil and Muslim community living in the area benefited due to this noble effort.

Screening of chronic non communicable diseases, treatment for acute/chronic diseases, provision of nutritional supplements and donation of spectacles were made during the clinic. Further, the Chief Incumbent of Nagadeepa Rajamaha Viharaya and Chief Sanga Nayake of Nothern Province, Praveenacharya Damma Kiththi Sri Ven. Navadagala Paduma Kiththi Tissa Thero also extended fullest cooperation for the successful conduct of this noble cause. Meanwhile, the State Pharmaceutical Cooperation, Thriposha Lanka Ltd. and George Guarathne Opticians sponsored for the medicine, spectacles and nutritional supplements.
