6th Asymmetric Warfare Course successfully terminates in Trincomalee
 

The certificate awarding of the 6th Asymmetric Warfare Course, organized by the Special Boat Squadron of Sri Lanka Navy was held at the Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda Auditorium in Trincomalee on 06th April 2018. The ceremony was graced by Deputy Chief of Staff and Director General Operations, Rear Admiral Piyal De Silva as the Chief Guest.

The twelve-week-long training engagement enabled course participants from different parts of the world to get the taste of SLN’s hard-earned asymmetric warfare experience during their training period. Thirty two (32) military personnel from Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Maldives, Nigeria, Pakistan, America and Sri Lanka Navy were involved in this arduous training that helped them to hone a new facet of their military careers.

The ceremony was also attended by Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Niraja Attygalle, Flag Officer Commanding the Naval Fleet, Commodore Ananda Guruge and a large number of officers and sailors attached to the Eastern Naval Command.
