Navy winners at 4th South Asian Wushu Tournament meet Commander of the Navy
 

Navy competitors of Sri Lanka Navy Wushu Pool who displayed their exceptional talents representing Sri Lanka won 3 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze medals at the 4th South Asian Wushu Tournament 2018. Subsequently, the victorious team met Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe at Naval Headquarters today(18 April) and they were highly appreciated by him of their achievements.

This tournament was held at Lahor in Pakistan from last 21st to 26th March with the participation of players from 8 countries. Representing Sri Lanka, Leading Seaman Mahesh Chandika, Able Seaman Pathum Balawardena, Able Seaman Malinda Kumara and Able PTI Rishitha Rumesh participated in the tournament and they secured medals bringing glory to the Navy and Sri Lanka as well.

The occasion was attended by the President of Sri Lanka Navy Wushu pool Lieutenant Commander Mohomad Fizal, the coaches of Navy Wushu pool Leading Seaman Priyankara, Vijaya Leading Seaman Nuwan Rajapaksha and Leading Seaman Priyantha Dissanayake and Senior Sailor in Charge of the Wushu Pool Petty Officer Pradeep Kumara.
