Commander of the Navy addresses civil staff members
 

A cordial meeting between Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe and the civil staff members of the Sri Lanka Navy was held at the Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake Auditorium, SLNS Parakrama yesterday (18 April 2018). Vice Admiral Ranasinghe was warmly welcomed by the Directress of Civil Administration, Mrs. Thusitha Kumari Dissanayake and the proceedings of the ceremony commenced soon after the lighting of traditional oil lamp.

Addressing the civil staff members, the Commander of the Navy first extended best wishes for the Sinhala and Hindu New Year and appreciated the assistance rendered by them for the successful conduct of routine administrative and related matters pertinent to the Navy. While recognizing the years of service rendered by the civil staff members in the Navy, the Navy Commander expressed that he would expect continued contribution of them in future endeavours as well.

To mark the significance of this occasion, the Directress of Civil Administration presented a memento to the Commander of the Navy. Deputy Chief of Staff of the Navy and Director General Operations, Rear Admiral Piyal De Silva, senior naval officers from the Naval Headquarters along with a gathering of civil staff members were present on the occasion.
