Naval personnel clean wells polluted by flash floods
 

The general public who were battered by the inclement weather prevailed in the country during the past couple of weeks is faced with a difficult situation as their water resources and wells have been polluted after the flash floods.

 Responding in this hour of need, the relief teams of the Sri Lanka Navy are undertaking cleaning efforts in the areas of Horana, Kalutara, Agalawatta, Gampaha, Bopitiya, Puttalam and Naththandiya and going by that initiative they have cleaned a total of 254 wells of late.

 Meanwhile, the Navy had also installed a mobile Reverse Osmosis plant to provide safe drinking water to the community in the locality of Naththandiya.
