Interest free loans granted to 60 senior sailors
 

Another 60 senior sailors of the Sri Lanka Navy were granted the interest free loan of five hundred thousand rupees (Rs.500,000/=) each, by the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe at the Naval Headquarters, today (06 June 2018). The total amount of this monetary allocation amounting to Rs. 30 million had been provided by the Naval Benefit Foundation. Secretary to the Commander of the Navy, Captain (S) ABRA De Silva and Manager Naval Benefit Foundation, Lieutenant Commander KM Dayananda also attended the occasion.

This interest free loan facility was launched for the senior sailors, in recognition of their long service in the Sri Lanka Navy and 1,377 senior sailors have been facilitated to date. Moreover, the initiative is on the move to provide the same facility for another 3,825 senior sailors in due course.
