Navy wins 67th National Masters Open Lifesaving Championship
 

Sri Lanka Navy won the National Masters Open Lifesaving Championship – 2018 organized by the Life Saving Association of Sri Lanka.

The Navy team ‘A’ beating all contestants participated in the event secured the coveted title for the third conservative time. Meanwhile, the team ‘B’ of the Navy also became the runner-up for the second successive time. The tournament was held at the Otters Aquatic Club and Mount Lavinia beach on 16th and 17th of September.  

Events have been organized in the form of beach events and pool events for life-saving in which two officers and 35 sailors of the Navy contested in two teams. Sri Lanka Police, Sri Lanka Coast Guard, Civil Security Department and a number of life-saving teams across the country also took part in this year’s tournament.

The tournament was organized under the directives of the President of Life Saving Association of Sri Lanka, Mr. Asanga Nanayakkara.
