Indian visit of SLNS Sagara and SLNS Suranimala
 

Sri Lanka Navy’s SLNS Sagara and SLNS Suranimala left the Port of Colombo for India yesterday (6th Oct), on a goodwill visit which includes training exercises too. The departing ships were bade farewell by the Navy band in accordance with naval traditions. Commander Western Naval Area Rear Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenna and senior officers of WNA were also present on this occasion.

Sri Lankan naval ships which are on a four day official tour, are scheduled to reach Cochin harbor in India, tomorrow (8th Oct). SLNS Sagara, a crew of about 200 officers and sailors onboard, is commanded by Captain(C) Janaka Nissanka and SLNS Suranimala having a crew of about 120, is commanded by Captain (ASW) Chandima Silva

On completion of their tour successfully, the visiting Sri Lankan Naval ships are scheduled to set sail from Cochin harbor for Sri Lanka on 11th October.
