Navy assists to Coral replanting project at Southern coastal line
 

A coral replanting project sponsored by Incey Cement Company with the contribution of human resources by the students of Moratuwa University, was inaugurated in the seas around Rumassala in Galle district, yesterday (2nd November). Sri Lanka Navy Diving Unit assists in the project for diving endeavors.

Accordingly, under the directives of Chief of Staff of the SL Navy Rear Admiral Piyal de Silva, and under the guidance of Commander Southern Naval Area Rear Admiral Kapila Samaraweera, Diving and Rescue Unit attached to the Southern Naval Command provides the necessary assistance in this project.

Galle District Secretary Mr Somarathna Vidanapathirana, Southern Province DIG of Police Mr Chandana Alahakoon, Training Captain and the Commanding Officer of SLNS Nipuna Captain (SSD) Sanjeewa Perera, Commanding Officer of SLNS Dakshina Commander (G) Roshan Mudaligama and several other navy officers were present on this occasion.
