INS ‘Jamuna’ arrives at Galle harbour
 

The Indian Naval Ship (INS) ‘Jamuna’ which arrived in Sri Lanka on 20th December 2018 to undertake hydrographic surveys in Sri Lankan waters, after a survey covering the sea area from Colombo to Galle, reached the port of Galle yesterday (04th January). Sri Lanka Navy welcomed the vessel in compliance of naval traditions.

Thereupon, Commanding Officer INS Jamuna, Captain HA Hardas met Commander Southern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Kapila Samaraweera at the Southern Naval Command Headquarters and held a cordial discussion, focusing on matters of bilateral importance. Mementoes were also exchanged to signify this occasion.

Deputy Area Commander of Southern Naval Area, Commodore Ranjith Premarathna, Defence Advisor to the High Commission of India in Sri Lanka, Captain Ashok Rao were also present on this occasion
