Person apprehended for transferring sea sand without permit
 

Naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command in coordination with officials of the Kalawanchikudah Police arrested a suspect who was transferring sea sand without valid permit, in the general area of Kaludaweli yesterday (06^th January).

The suspect is a resident of Kaludaweli, aged 29. The tractor used for transferring of 01 cube of sea sand was also taken into naval custody. The arrested suspect along with the tractor was subsequently handed over to the Kalawanchikudah Police for onward action.
