Navy apprehends a person held illegal timber
 

Following information received to the Navy, Naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command, in coordination with Sampoor Police, apprehended a person who was transporting a load of illegally toppled “Veera” logs, in Kokadi area, yesterday ( 09 January).

The 33 years old suspect is a resident of Anachchena area in Muthoor. The Dimo Butta lorry used for transporting the logs, was taken into naval custody and the apprehended person along with the timber load loaded lorry was handed over to Sampoor Police for onward legal action.
