A troop of Naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command apprehended a person who possessed a locally made gun, 47 boxes of matches and 53 Lead balls, while a foot patrol carried out in Uppural area, yesterday(12 February).

Two persons who engaged in illegal fishing with banned nets were nabbed in a raid carried out in Madattan beach area, Kappalthurai by a troop of naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command in coordination with China Bay Police, yesterday (12 February). A banned net 250m in length and a canoe used by them have also been taken into naval custody there.
