Australian delegation in Sri Lanka for Indo-Pacific Endeavour 2019 calls on Commander of the Navy

The Flag Officer onboard HMAS "Canberra" Air Commodore Richard Owen and the Commanding Officer of HMAS " Newcastle" Commander Anita Sellick who arrived in Sri Lanka for Indo-Pacific Endeavour 2019, called on Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva at the Naval headquarters, today (24th March).

They discussed on the matters of mutual interest and mementos were also exchanged to mark the occasion. Defence Attaché of the Australian High Commission in Sri Lanka, Group Captain Sean Unwin was also present with the delegation.

Further, the delegation comprised of the officers of HMAS "Canberra" and HMAS "Newcastle" met Commander Western Naval Area Rear Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenna while the deligation of HMAS "Success" and HMAS "Parramatta" met Commander Eastern Naval Area Rear Admiral Sumith Weerasinghe at the Eastern Naval Command Headquarters, yesterday (23rd March).

They discussed important matters related to the onward programme of the Indo-Pacific Endeavour 2019 and mementos were exchanged, signifying the occasion.
