SLN personnel visit HMAS ‘Canberra’ at Colombo harbour

The Royal Australian Navy ship HMAS ‘Canberra’ arrived in Sri Lanka on 23rd March in view of strengthening the cooperation on maritime affairs under the Indo-Pacific Endeavour 2019. Meanwhile, a group of personnel from the Sri Lanka Navy visited the ship berthed at the port of Colombo yesterday (26th March).

The party of SLN personnel was initially briefed on the history as well as the technology and equipment of the vessel. Thereupon, a group of SLN personnel went on a boat ride by a small boat of the vessel. Several exercises performed by means of helicopters were also done in the presence of SLN counterpart.
