Navy’s stall attracts public at ‘Yowun Puraya’ - 2019

‘Yowun Puraya’ – 2019, the marketing and educational exhibition organized by the National Youth Services Council for the 10th time, was held at the National Livestock Development Board Resources Centre in Weerawila, Hambantota from 27th to 30th March.

Exhibiting the elegance of Sri Lanka Navy, several stalls had been installed at the exhibition and a large number of people frequented the Navy stalls which put on display ship/craft replicas, uniforms, ranks and rates of the sea going arm. Further, the crowd was also briefed about naval missions other details pertinent to Sri Lanka Navy. The spectators were fascinated by the information and expressed their gratitude to the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva and entire Navy for the opportunity given.

Commander Southern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Kapila Samaraweera, Naval Officer in Charge (Hambantota), Commodore Ashoka Wijesiriwardana and a host of senior and junior officers were also present on the occasion to witness the exhibition.
