Navy recovers the dead body of a drowned boy

Sri Lanka Navy recovered a dead body of a drowned boy at the Avissawella, Daigala bathing spot in the Kelani river, today (13^th April).

On receipt of information to the Naval Headquarters from Avissawella Police about a missing boy after drowning in the Kelani river, yesterday (12^th April) a diving team of 05 naval personnel attached to the Western Naval Command was promptly dispatched to the location. After a strenuous effort the navy divers managed to find the dead body lying underwater.

The dead body was handed over to the Avissawella Police for onward action.
