Navy arrests illegally plucked Aloe Vera plants

A Naval team in coordination with STF arrested a person who was transporting illegally plucked Aloe Vera saplings, yesterday (16^th April).

Accordingly, a team of naval personnel attached to the North Central Naval Command in coordination with Police STF-Mannar arrested a person who had illegally plucked Aloe Vera saplings in a forest reserve. The arrested haul consisted of about 6500 Aloe Vera saplings which were contained in 15 sacks while transporting by a lorry.

The suspect is a resident of Kalpitiya area aged 49. The lorry, Aloe Vera saplings and the suspect were handed over to Forest Office at Madu for further investigation.
