A delegation of Pakistan National Defence University visits Eastern Naval Command

The delegation of Pakistan National Defence University, headed by Air Commodore Mustapa Anwar who are on an official tour in Sri Lanka visited Eastern Naval Command HQ, today (18th April). Upon their arrival, the delegation was received to the Eastern Naval Command, according a Guard of Honour in compliance with naval traditions.

Thereafter, the delegation paid a courtesy call on the Commander Eastern Naval Area Rear Admiral Sumith Weerasinghe and they were educated on the responsibilities of the command, by the Area Commander. The delegation explained about their tour studies to the Area Commander and mementos were also exchanged to mark the event.

Later on, the delegation accompanied by a group of officers attached to the ENC, visited the Naval Museum at Naval Dockyard. They also visited Naval & Maritime Academy and held a discussion on the matters of bilateral importance with Commandant Naval & Maritime Academy Commodore Kalana Jinadasa. The discussion focused on the academic affairs of both countries. Mementoes were also exchanged signifying the occasion.

Senior officers attached to the Eastern Naval Command, Naval Headquarters and Defence Advisor of the Pakistan High Commission in Sri Lanka, Cornel Sajahd Ali also attended these occasions.
